Coach Profile

Austin Tetreault
Austin Tetreault, from Rouses Point NY. I played forward for Northeastern High School for 4 years at the varsity level where I served as team captain and achieved multiple MVP awards throughout the years. During this time I also played for Plattsburgh FC travel team which connected me to Plattsburgh State’s head coach. I played an additional four years at the college level at Plattsburgh State as a forward. I have coached Varsity Soccer at Chazy High School as an assistant, and have been fortunate enough to make the State Final Four both years including a finalist appearance in the 2022 season. This 2023 season at PFC will be my 3rd year as a coach for the program. I began with a team at the U14 level and have moved up with them to the U16 level. As a team we have traveled throughout New York and Vermont to tournaments and have taken a few championships along the way. I like to coach for my players and to their strengths and abilities. I find it is my job to understand the play style that each of my players come with and do what is best tactically that allows them to fit into a system and also express themselves freely as a player. I like to make sure my team has a goal of becoming a better player by the end of each season to hopefully make a big impact on their High School team and possibly be noticed for a higher level. During my time at Plattsburgh State I also studied a minor in coaching where I specifically attended classes under both of the college’s soccer coaches. My goal for the players in this club as stated before is to develop them as much as possible to be standouts at their High School and be noticed at tournaments we may travel to. I believe with the talent we have in the area and the coaching, as well as resources we have within PFC makes this goal nothing short of realistic for all.
