Coach Profile
Mike Peck
Coach Mike is originally from Bath, NY and currently resides in Elizabethtown,
NY. Mike played high school soccer at Haverling Central School where he was
the starting goalkeeper. His coaching background includes stints as an
assistant basketball coach at Elizabethtown/Lewis Central School (now
Bouquet Valley Central School) as well as coaching multiple sports (soccer,
futsal, basketball, baseball) at the town level for the past 7 years. Mike helps
coach at the Bouquet Valley summer soccer camp and, along with his wife,
has reestablished summer soccer programs for adults and youth in
Elizabethtown. Mike has a National F and Grassroots coaching license from
the USSF and has recently started completing the coursework necessary to
pursue a National D license.
Coach Mike is a firm believer that athletics is a critical tool in teaching
children life lessons that they can carry with them into their homes and
communities. Mike’s primary focus at PFC will be to help develop technically
and tactically sound players capable of making confident and proper
decisions within the flow of the game. Through that development, Mike hopes
his time coaching soccer with PFC will act as a catalyst to foster healthy,
confident, and active kids.
Mike is a registered nurse and works as the Quality Improvement and
Infection Control Nurse at FCI Ray Brook, a federal prison in Ray Brook, NY.
Mike and his wife have two sons who are now going into their 3 rd season with
PFC, and when the family isn’t running around playing organized sports, they
enjoy spending time camping, fishing, ice skating, skiing and occasionally
taking a breather.
