Coach Profile

Damien Nevader, originally from Chazy, NY, looks to help grow players at PFC. He started his soccer career as a player at Chazy Central Rural School and later played college soccer at SUNY Brockport, where he played as a defender/defensive midfielder. After his playing career, he shifted his focus to coaching and has been coaching for 18 years at various high school and youth levels. Damien has coached JV soccer at Chazy, Saranac, and Northern Adirondack and varsity soccer at Northern Adirondack. For the last four years, he has been coaching for Plattsburgh Football Club, where he has coached U-6, U-8, and U-10 age groups. Damien holds a USYS Grassroots coaching license. As an educator at Northern Adirondack for fourteen years, Damien brings a wealth of experience to his coaching role. He uses his expertise as an educator to encourage the growth of kids in soccer and as people. Damien is passionate about helping kids learn to love the beautiful game, play the game technically and with skill, and most importantly, have fun. Damien’s coaching philosophy centers around teaching kids the fundamentals of soccer while also instilling a love for the sport. He believes that soccer is not just about winning or losing, but about the overall experience of playing and learning the game.
