Coach Profile

Josh Meyer, originally from Plattsburgh, NY, brings his experience as a player and a coach to the soccer club. As a player, Josh took to the field for Plattsburgh High School and Elmira College, primarily playing as an outside midfielder and forward. Josh has an extensive coaching background, including five years with Hoosick Falls Boys Varsity soccer, two years with Plattsburgh JV soccer, coaching several camps and clinics, and working with various youth age groups (U6, U8, U10, U12, and U14) at PFC. Coach Meyer holds a USYS Grassroots coaching license and is a strong advocate for player development, individual skills, tactical understanding, and teamwork. As a long-time educator and educational leader, Josh incorporates these skills into his coaching, creating a positive learning environment for his players. Josh’s coaching philosophy focuses on fostering player growth, both on and off the field. His goal is to continue developing players, boosting their confidence, and equipping them with the skills needed for success.
