Amber Liberty
Amber Liberty, a Saranac native, is excited to use her many years of competitive playing experience, along with 20+ years of coaching, to help young players grow and fall in love with the game of soccer. Amber played at Saranac Central High School, where she helped to lead her team to 2 state final four appearances in 1994 and 1995. She continued playing at the college level and started as a forward for 4 years at Division II College of Saint Rose, in Albany, NY. She broke many records there as well as receiving recognition for both her academic and athletic success. After graduating with honors, she returned to the North Country to start her teaching career as well as to coach the sport that she loved. Over the next 20+ years Amber was an Assistant Varsity coach, JV Coach, youth coach, and now is the head PFC U14 Girls Coach, Assistant PFC U12 Coach, as well as the head Girls Varsity Coach at Saranac Central High School. Amber’s varsity girls have won back-to-back section 7, 10 and 2 championships. Her 2021 team also advanced to the NYS Final Four. Amber takes pride in creating a team with a top-notch work ethic, a desire to succeed, and a true team mentality. Along with soccer, Amber enjoys teaching, music, spending time with her husband, three daughters, and three labradors. They enjoy traveling to play not only soccer, but basketball and softball as well.
