Coach Profile

Sonya Lambert a native of the Plattsburgh area, has been coaching for 25 years. She began her coaching career at Chazy at the modified level. She later coached JV and was the varsity assistant coach. Having coached for PFC since 2009, Sonya has worked with players from U6 through the U16 level. Her passion is in helping players develop individually and as part of the team. She fosters the ideals that hard work, dedication, self-discipline, and team camaraderie lead to success. Sonya is a veteran educator who believes that children and athletes will thrive when provided the opportunity to grow in a caring environment. In the summer, Sonya enjoys working with our community’s youngest soccer players through her work at Plattsburgh Soccer Camp. Sonya currently holds a National F Coaching License and a USYS Grassroots License. In her free time, Sonya enjoys running marathons with her husband and watching her two sons play soccer.
