Coach Profile

Coby Dergham
Coby Dergham is a former PFC player and current coach of the 2009 boys team (U14). He grew up playing for coaches Geoff Spear, Chris Waterbury, Tim Mulligan and Chris Taylor throughout his 7-year career at the club. He is a former PHS Hornet and attended Clarkson University for Engineering & Management where he was a captain of the schools Club soccer team for his 4 years of undergrad. Coby is still playing in the North Country Men’s league as a center back/outside back for the reigning champions 4th Ward FC. While he is still new to coaching, Coby’s experience as a former player of the club has allowed him to relate to his players as they look to develop individually and as a team. He is scheduled to attend his Grass Roots course this April and is always learning more from the other coaches around him. He emphasizes composure, vision, teamwork and most importantly communication for his team. His goal is to build his players’ passion for the game and have as many of them as possible go on to play at the collegiate level. In his free time, Coby enjoys cooking, watching soccer (Man United Fan) and going for walks around town.
