Jon Chapman
Jon Chapman brings over 30 years of playing and coaching experience to Plattsburgh FC. As a player Jon led Voorheesville high school to a section 2 title and state quarterfinals, then went on to play college soccer at Springfield College and Plattsburgh State. After graduation, Jon began his coaching career as the Beekmantown Boys Varsity soccer coach, a brand new program that went from last place in the league to winning the CVAC is his 13th and last year with the boys. In 2017 Jon moved to the girls program and now heads the Beekmantown Girls soccer program and will enter his 4th year as Varsity coach in the Fall. Jon’s coaching certificates include a NSCAA National Diploma, USSF Class F and E licenses, and USYS Grassroots certificates. Jon’s goal is for players to develop, both at practice and at home, the skillset to be a complete soccer player. He aspires to help players foster a love of the game, desire to better themselves, and give them the tools to make this happen. Jon teaches AP World History at Beekmantown High School. He loves teaching, coaching, and spending time with his wife and two children.
